Service Description

This is the Classic city hike, it hits all the high points and is well-rounded with a mix of old town sightseeing, secret doors and passages, wooden walkways, plenty of stairs and a lot of adventure around each corner. It is 9km (5.6mi) so it's no joke; great for fit & active people who regularly get their 10,000 daily steps in and are happy to tackle approximately 300m of elevation gain and descent. The hike is a loop, so we start and finish at the same spot, the beautiful Burkliplatz right at the edge of the lake of Zurich. You must wear comfortable shoes with good tread (no flip flops), bring a refillable water bottle and appropriate weather gear. The hike is paced to be active, so the guide will provide information and comments but will not stop at every corner, it's rather a walking commentary. There is a 15 minute "pic-nic" stop around 3/4 of the way into the hike for snacks. Toilet break is around 1 hour into the hike. Prices include the entire guided itinerary.
